I am very excited to announce the date of my next Urban Wellness Retreat is Saturday 2nd April. It’s the weekend after Easter so it’s the perfect time to reboot and get ready for summer. Out with those dark, wintery months of hibernation and in with the bright, positive, sunny, summer months.
The January Urban Wellness Retreat was such a special day. I really enjoy helping to bring women together to encourage positivity, self-care and body love through yoga, delicious, healthy food and exercise.
All too often the messages around exercise, food and even yoga is one of guilt, negativity and aggression. We should look a certain way, we should be working out and eating clean – but what about what works for YOU? What about YOUR life and YOUR body?
The focus of my Urban Wellness Retreat is help you to learn more about what I call “wellness tools” – yoga, mindfulness, mediation, healthy food and fitness – how to use those wellness tools in a way that works for you and why we all need them in our lives for balance and health.
We focus on positivity, balance and body love.
Here’s how the day will go;
We will begin with a green juice and healthy treats reception on the rooftop of The stunning Marker Hotel Dublin at 11am – I’ve got the order in for sunshine so that’s covered!

Our introduction to yoga begins at 11.30am.
I like to do this because I think we often do things because someone once said “it’s good for you”. But how do we know? Why do we do what we do? I believe it is really important to know why. This is the case not only for yoga but also for exercise and food, otherwise it feels pointless especially on those tough days.
We will then do a beautiful yoga flow class. This will be mixed level and designed in a way to make your work or not – it’s entirely up to you!

Yoga will then be followed by an introduction to Mindfulness – a practice that is key when changing habits and encouraging body love and acceptance. We will do a guided mindfulness exercise and a blissful mediation to completely chill us out just before lunch. And oh how yummy lunch will be.
It’s then time for our Food Forum. I will take you through the basics of nutrition – something we all get confused with due to all of the conflicting messages being thrown at us incessantly. Together we will demystify diets and all those fads, helping you to gain a deeper understanding of it all so that you can make the right choices for you.
This is always a lovely time where we share our tips and tricks, what works and what doesn’t and most importantly it is an opportunity to ask questions – it’s a really helpful part of the day and I know you’ll love it.
Our fabulous retreat finishes on a high note – a short but energetic burst of fitness to show you how easy it is to work out in a small space with limited time. Don’t be scared though, it’s mixed level and listening to your body is essential as always.
So there you have it! A fabulous day that is all about YOU and why not – you are worth it!!
